Internship Opportunities

Internship opportunities for college students are available throughout the year. ESD offers a paid summer internship program from May-August, with listings starting in March. These opportunities are designed to provide a deeper understanding of particular areas of academic study as well as hands-on experience in career fields of interest. In the past, summer interns have been placed with a variety of ESD departments and subsidiaries in NYC, Albany, Buffalo and in regional offices throughout the state. Internship placement opportunities may include Strategic Business Development, Marketing, Finance, IT, the Office of Motion Picture & Television Development, Legal, and more.  Summer interns also have the opportunity to engage with senior-level executives through participation in our speaker series events and other professional enrichment programs offered by ESD and partner organizations.

Unpaid internship opportunities may also be offered throughout the year and are limited in duration.  Students should ask whether their school offers academic credit for unpaid internships.
