On December 6, 2023, Governor Hochul announced the release of the Creedmoor Community Master Plan. The purpose of this Plan is to set a foundational framework for how development at the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center could proceed in the coming decades and to address the community’s desire for a cohesive campus vision. 

ESD will work closely with residents, local organizations, civic groups, and elected officials to implement the Plan and realize the development potential of the Creedmoor campus while ensuring compatibility with the surrounding neighborhoods. ESD will use Plan as a basis for issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) for firms and community organizations to redevelop portions of the site in the coming years.
