Empire State Development is committed to empowering Black entrepreneurs, who play a vital role in New York State’s economy. During this Black History Month, we celebrate their resilience, innovation and contributions to our communities.

Through programs like our Entrepreneurship Assistance Centers (EACs) and Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) initiatives, we provide tools and resources to help businesses thrive. From technical assistance and mentorship to access to capital and procurement opportunities, ESD is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable business environment.

Throughout February, we will highlight inspiring Black entrepreneurs who credit ESD programs in contributing to their growth and success. Stay tuned as we share their stories and showcase the impact of Black-owned businesses across New York State.
