Diane Moore wanted to be her own boss – and ESD’s MWBE Division helped make that dream a reality.
Moore, a lifelong Bronx resident, founded her company, CleanWork Solutions, LLC, to provide environmentally friendly commercial cleaning and janitorial services—while paying livable wages to individuals facing barriers to employment across New York City.
Moore successfully applied to have CleanWork Solutions certified as an New York State minority and women-owned business (MWBE). She also enrolled in, and graduated from, the Business Growth Accelerator Program (BGA 2.0), which helps MWBEs grow and secure state government contracting opportunities. The program is currently in its third (3.0) round, and open for applications.
Moore has secured contracts with several New York City government agencies, including with the NYC Housing Authority, the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, the NYC Department of Finance and the NYC Department of Social Services. She also is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and has a number of other certifications from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program.
ESD’s MWBE Division’s guidance and support made all the difference in Moore’s becoming the boss of her business – and of its success.
