ESD’s first annual report, published earlier this month, is a comprehensive look at all we have done–as an agency and as the state of New York—in 2017.

New York’s strengthening economy reflects a strategic approach to economic development building on downtown revitalization, innovation, workforce development, and incentivizing business investment and job creation.

The report features 2017 highlights from ESD divisions and initiatives—from signature infrastructure projects and innovation to MWBE goals and Upstate’s ongoing transformation. 

ESD’s success stories are made possible by the commitment of resources and support from the Governor and Legislature, but also by the many partnerships, including local governments and economic development non-profits and the private sector businesses that are investing in New York State.

In addition to the division and project detail, the annual report features a financials section with  aggregate data on projects that received assistance from ESD—whether tax-based incentives, grants or loans—during the last full fiscal year.
