Relocating, expanding, opening and innovating.

That’s what businesses are doing around New York State, including four that have made major announcements in the past three months:

  • Mastercard: The global payment technology company announced a multimillion-dollar investment to nearly triple its New York City presence, with a new, 212,000-square-foot location that will create more than 470 new tech jobs by 2024. Mastercard’s Manhattan-based tech teams are developing digital advances across a number of areas including digital payments and cybersecurity.
  • Strategic Financial Solutions:  Western New York is the new home of this leading consumer debt relief solutions firm’s 60,000-square-foot contact center, located in Amherst.  Over the next five years, the Manhattan-based company plans to add more than 1,500 jobs at the Amherst center.
  • Discovery Communications: New York is a well-established international media industry hub, something this leading media company, now based in Maryland, took note of in announcing plans to move its global headquarters to New York City next year.
  • DICK’s Sporting Goods: The leading sports retailer, founded in Binghamton in 1948, has opened the doors to its new regional distribution facility in Conklin. The facility, expected to add more than 450 jobs over the next five years, will service 160+ retail locations around the Northeast.
