Empire State Development (ESD) today announced that Adirondack Beverages Corporation will modernize and expand its bottling operations at the Glenville Business and Technology Park in Schenectady County.
“For decades, Adirondack Beverages has been a strong partner in the local business community, producing world-class beverages and contributing to the regional economy,” ESD President, CEO & Commissioner Howard Zemsky said. “The expansion of Adirondack Beverages’ footprint will both create jobs for the Capital Region and grow the region’s beverage industry, and we are proud to support this project.”
Founded in 1967, Adirondack Beverages produces traditional carbonated soft drinks, spring and sparkling waters, flavored seltzers, energy drinks and a variety of non-carbonated beverages. Adirondack Beverages operates in more than 750,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Glenville.

In order to encourage Adirondack Beverages to proceed with its expansion, ESD has offered up to $400,000 in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits. Adirondack will invest $2.9 million to construct and install a new blow molding line to support its existing bottling operations, creating 24 new jobs at the Glenville plant which already employs approximately 260 workers. Additionally, Schenectady County Metroplex will provide a $45,000 grant to assist with improving roads surrounding the plant.

This company is a major employer in our community and we are grateful for their decision to invest and grow in Schenectady County.”
Senator Jim Tedisco said, “I recently had the pleasure of visiting Adirondack Beverages and saw first-hand the great work this long-standing business, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the 49th Senate District, is doing to create jobs and help our economy grow. This new investment will help create 24 new jobs in Glenville and in the 49th Senate District,”

Glenville Town Supervisor Chris Koetzle said, “Adirondack Beverages has been a long-time business leader in our community and we’re glad that they are experience so much success. This expansion will allow them to add more jobs in Glenville and make additional investments in this important business park which will help ensure their growth well into the future.”
