Farley Building Redevelopment: Construction Underway

Empire State Development, New York’s economic development agency, in partnership with a joint venture of The Related Companies and Vornado Realty Trust, will redevelop the historic James A. Farley Post Office Building into a mixed-use development of 700,000 square feet of new retail and commercial office space. Premier shops and restaurants will surround the Moynihan Train Hall, including along a mezzanine overlooking the sky-lit concourse floor, and lining an arcade linking 9th Avenue. Like Grand Central Terminal, the Moynihan Train Hall will become a vibrant destination in its own right, and a vital amenity for the neighborhood and New York.
