This includes "Made in New York" products such as scientific instruments, ceramics, adhesives, tool parts, heat-processing systems, processed foods, and many others in high demand in foreign markets. The program is currently available in Canada, China, Mexico, Europe (United Kingdom), Israel and South Africa.

The Export Marketing Assistance Service is a New York State program designed to help businesses find sales agents or distributors abroad. EMAS provides customized research conducted by our trade specialists at home and abroad. New York State's foreign-based offices provide local intelligence for the markets you select and work diligently to identify the best possible parties to represent your company's sales interests abroad.

EMAS represents an important tool for New York State manufacturers of all sizes who aim to enter or expand their sales into foreign markets. By participating in EMAS, ESD will find the appropriate importers distributors and sales agents to best represent your business internationally.

 

Getting Started with EMAS

A company's participation begins with an application to the program. After your initial screening, we will send notification of qualifying status into the program. Thereafter we place you in direct contact with our foreign offices and global network.

Our experts will conduct research to identify suitable importers, distributors and agents and will interview and screen them to meet your optimal objectives. All relevant information is then sent to you. In this way, EMAS participants receive the most advantageous representation to leverage business opportunities around the world.
