SUNY Niagara Community College is designating 52 acres of vacant “on campus” land at the college’s main campus in Sanborn, NY. The college will target the following business sectors for participation in START-UP NY, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, agri-science, agritourism, health and life sciences, (excluding medical and dental practices), professional services involved with information technology, and tourism.

SUNY Oneonta designated 15,965 square footage of vacant space and 0.65 acres of vacant land on campus, as well as 27,600 square footage of vacant space off-campus in the City of Oneonta. The college will target businesses in the natural sciences, information technology, criminal justice and law enforcement, cyber security and data storage, energy storage and alternative energy, textile design, manufacturing, printing and telecommunication operations.

SUNY Onondaga Community College has designated 115,915 square feet of on campus space at the former Cosmopolitan building on West Fayette Street and the former Gear Factory building on South Geddes Street in Syracuse and 71.5 acres of vacant land on its campus. The school is targeting businesses that support core industry clusters included in the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council’s strategic plan, such as clean energy and environmental systems, health, biomedical services and biosciences, agribusiness and food processing, advanced manufacturing and tourism.

SUNY Orange Community College designated 29,500 square feet of vacant space more than one mile from campus. The college will target businesses in information technology, biotech, biomedical, and advanced manufacturing.

SUNY Oswego has designated 9.1 acres of land and 147,975 square feet of vacant space on campus. The college will target businesses in advanced manufacturing; prototyping and new industrial platform technologies; robotics and high precision technologies; automation control systems; sustainable and green processes; energy-related manufacturing; electronics and computer software technologies; and telecommunications.

SUNY Plattsburgh has designated 306,460 square feet of on campus space and 35.7 acres of on campus vacant land. The college will target businesses in computer information technology, programming, cyber security, mobile application development, three-dimensional gaming development, multimedia, graphic design and digital media production, on-line publications and social media, supply chain management, study of Canada, and environmental studies.

SUNY Polytechnic Institute (formerly CNSE) designated 343,376 square feet of vacant space on campus and 253.15 acres of land that includes the Albany Nanotech Complex at the main campus on Fuller Road, the Smart Cities Technology Innovation Center in downtown Albany, and the Smart System Technology and Commercialization Center in Canandaigua and properties at the former SUNY IT Utica/Rome campus. SUNY PI will target businesses in nanofabrication, nano-biohealth, clean energy and environmental technologies, and information technology, including information technology infrastructure and data analytics.

SUNY Potsdam has designated 13,600 square feet of vacant office space, 12,000 of which is off campus at the Potsdam Commerce Park, and 67 acres of vacant campus land. The school is targeting computer programming/electronic gaming, clean energy, environmentally sustainable, tourism, and music and arts related businesses as well as import/export businesses.

SUNY Rockland Community College designated 175,500 s/f of off-campus space at the IRG Campus in Pearl River, 8.14 acres of land on campus in Suffern and 6,943 square feet of vacant space on the campus extension centers in Haverstraw and Nyack. The college will target businesses in manufacturing, biotechnology, publishing, audiovisual, graphics design, green energy and recycling, software development, informational technology, analytical testing in environmental engineering and biomedical research.

SUNY Schenectady County Community College has designated 6,311 square feet of vacant space on campus and 60,455 square feet of off-campus space. The college will target businesses involved with nanoscale materials, semi-conductors, alternative energy, supply chain distribution or warehousing, aviation science/air traffic control, computer science/information systems, computer networking and cyber-security, casino and gaming technology/surveillance, fire protection technology, marketing, management and sales, manufacturing of craft beer or spirit distillation, biotechnology and manufacturing/mechatronics.
